A Value-added Benefit for Certificants*
The 2006 unification of the premier IAQ associations has led to the announcement of a new insurance program for Council certificants.
This program includes general liability, pollution liability (when applicable) and errors and omissions insurance for consultants, investigators, remediators and inspectors.
Insurance is available from several different top A-rated insurance companies depending on the kind of work your company performs and the type of coverage you are seeking.
Certification through the IAQ Council is required for program eligibility.
The launch of this insurance program comes after months of work by IAQA, IESO, and IAQ Council officials in concert with Legends Environmental Insurance Services and other insurance industry brokerages.
This program has met with great success in its first few months. Over 40 Council-certified professionals have attained insurance through this program with an average savings of over 15% from their previous policies.
This program also opens up access to insurance for those members who perform 100% mold work.
